Who is Kipling?

Established in 1987 by three friends from Anterwerp. They decided to design high quality bags for the everyday woman. They wanted to design each Kipling Bag to be iconic, chic, feminine and fashionable. Most important - to not be boring for the wearer.

The women came up with a fabulous line of casual and vibrantly colourful bags. They wanted their products to be affordable, sporty and functional. In a word fun!

Why did they name their bags Kipling?

Of course, after the well known, well traveled author 'Rudyard Kipling.' Inspired by the Jungle Book, designers came up with the Kipling Monkey logo

Within no time Kipling Bags became a phenomenon around the world. Almost everyone knows about Kipling Bags today. Which shows just how popular they are!

Why a Kipling Monkey Keyring?

Ok, so this piece of luggage maybe on the more expensive end, BUT, you will not need to purchase another piece of luggage for an extremely long time due to the items quality and durability.

Which Designer Work With Kipling?

Since 2006 Kipling have been working along side some quirky designers to bring ultra fashion forward collections. Designers include 'Cathy Pill'(Belgium), 'El Delgado Buil'(Spain), 'Gloria Coelho'(Brazil), 'Girls From Omsk'(Belgium), 'Peter Pilotto'(UK) and more recently 'JC DE Castelbajac'(France). What are Kipling Bags made of?

Kipling bags are so incredibly light, due to material used. The main fabric for the Kipling Basic Range is a solid crinkled nylon. The Kipling Laquer Bags which are a new edition to the 2011 collections, is 100% Nylon with a TPU top coating. The lining for each bag is 100% Polyester. The cleaning of a Kipling Bag is one of it's best attributes. Kipling advise that you clean with a damp cloth and do not soak in water. This of course depends on the material. For example, most peeople, including myself have been naughty and put the Kipling crinkle nylon bags form the Basic range, on a handwash option, or literally by hand. the results are - like you Kipling bag is all new! I would advise of course to follow the correct instructions. However after knowing the product for over 10 years and speaking to various women over that period, no one yet has complained!

Another great reason to buy a Kipling Bag is the upper side of the nylon is treated with a water repellent finish which makes the nylon protected against rainy weather.
